Holy Seat, or Holy See, derives from the Latin: Sancta Sedes and is used as a figure of speech to name the authority that acts and speaks for the Catholic Church.

This piece is my own "tongue and check" musing and interpretation on the sex abuse scandals that started unraveling in the early 90's implicating the Catholic Church, undermining its moral authority, and exposing its hypocrisy when it spoke against homosexuality.
